"To remove the bodily effects of trauma, we must take time to listen to, understand, experience, and feel it. Only then can it be released."

UNLOCK YOUR BODY'S WISDOM

You have likely told your story...aloud and in your head...countless times, searching for meaning, healing, and growth.

But your body remembers differently. It feels; senses, moves emotes, reacts.

That's why Somatic Processing, an integrated body-based approach, is such a powerful path towards change.

Like an unwelcome houseguest, pain, illness, limiting conditions, and your "stories" can take up residence in you body.

You can ignore them.
Talk over them.
Holler at them.
Plot and plan against them.
Yet they remain

Do differently.

Lisa will help you inquire into your body's pain, your limiters to success, the perceptions that have become your reality, your wounds, and other stories that could use a new ending. She will play mediator between you and your unwelcome guest.

Tools  of the trade.

Somatic Processing uses whatever tools support your body, your story, and your nervous system. These tools may include:

  • Compassionate Inquiry® -- a therapeutic conversation method that gently explores underlying patterns, pain, or protective behaviiors.
  • Breath Practices -- from calm, neurological-focused breathing to intentional Breathwork that invites altered states and deep emotional release.
  • Sound as expression -- using vocal tones not as words, but as the body's first language of expression of needs and emotions.
  • Sound/vibro-acoustic tools -- including bowls tuning forks, chimes, and gongs, which are not only heard but also felt in the body.
  • The Lucía Light -- a hypnagogic light experience that supports deep relaxation, intuitive access, and inner awareness.
  • Bodywork -- intentional, skilled therapeutic touch by a licensed professional, used to support integration, presence, and regulation.

Like everything Lisa Jamison offers, these tools may stand alone or be woven together with a session, always in service of your body's inherent healing wisdom.

"Trauma treatment is not about telling stories about the past.
Trauma treatment is about helping people to be here now, to tolerate what they feel in the present."
